for me, but still strong. "

Reviews

M8 Magazine (November Issue – Out mid-Oct) – Review by Standby – M7/M8
“This track has good memories from a year or so ago, it’s a fun record that takes a sizable sample from a film score to ‘Lock Stoke and Two Smoking Barrels’. Now signed to new USA label Seven Limited Records (SLR) this is their second release.
The Wally Lopez ‘Air Tight’ edit has the biggest use of the sample and musically it’s a groovy tech house offering, full of samples and little snips of sounds and effects. Beautifully produced, this mix sounds very clean. The two new mixes add a very different flavour. First is the bass heavy, tech driven mix from the ‘Low End Specialists’. Everything is built around that heavy bass line, up to a breakdown from which the track really builds with quite narely stabs and synths. Made for peak time frenzy. Hot shot Steve Porter adds the final mix delivering a surprisingly funky mix, compared to his more widely know progressive style. Its fantastic, a really jacking mix that pulls together the deeper progressive sounds of the original with some very bright, funky elements
like piano hooks and stabs.”

M8 Magazine – Derek Taylor – “The Wally Lopez rmx's were really good too!! The Low
End Specialists mix is probably one of their best to date!! The Steve Porter mix is ok! The Wally Lopez edit is good also!

www.residentadvisor.net / DMC Update – Brian Cody
“This new label on the block sees a stomping second release in the shape of a massive remix package of Im coming to London by Wally Lopez.

First up is the Air-tight mix from the Spanish house guru himself.Lopez takes the original and re-works it for maximum dancefloor appeal with that incredibly sexy vibe. Events happen a bit quicker with the classic vocal taking centre stage around soulful stabs and bouncing bassline as beefed up tech house beats keep up the foot stompin' pace .

Steve Porter is next with another one of his funk driven productions that smacks the arse off many of the current house releases. It’s jam packed with jackin' grooves ,bursting at the seams with 70's funk that no matter where you hide it will find you .If you've heard the artist album Homegrown from Porter you will know he brings to any production something special, that foot pounding element that gets inside of your bones to shake you to the core . Its house but not as you might know it

Rounding up this big room package is the Fish and Chips dub from Low end Specialists who create a tribal fused number that's perfect for peaktime as the bassline throughout re-enforces the tough groove . Along with this mini breakdowns and beaconing tweaked sounds keep our interest to the very end .

The future looks quite exciting for this U.S based label and if this is anything to go by you’re going to be hooked.”

Go Magazine (Holland) – Glen Zoeteweij – “Excellent second release of this fresh new label from the USA. All three mixes rock! Low End specialists are fierce and devastating, Steve Porter is at his funktastic best and Wally Lopez is just irresistibly groovy. Wicked!”
Rating 5 out of 5, will be reviewed for Gomagazine.nl in October 2005.

www.clubbingmagazine.com (Denmark) – Christian Almind – Review online
“Wally Lopez is one of the hottest producers and DJs in Spain at the moment. His “I'm Coming to London” has been remixed and released on the new US based label, Seven Limited Records. The release includes great remixes by Steve Porter, Low End Specialist and Wally Lopez himself.” (CA) Rating: 7 / 10

Radio

Power / Southern FM (S England) / Cream resident – Paul Hillyer – “Low End boys turn in a seriously hot mix here. Working a treat last Saturday. Will be supporting fully.” 8/10

Energy FM (Isle Of Man) – Paul Hughes – “I've now been on this for a couple of weeks both club and radio. Seriously strong on the remix tip. Steve Porter my current personal fav.on here as well but in my opinion he’s been beaten for once on the mixes. Honours from me go to the Low End Specialists, dirty dirty groove. As always i'm on the case, maximum support guaranteed...”

thought i would come on here and update everyone with what has been going on:

We have just finished our remixes of the 1st and 2nd single from Juliet's new album due out on Virgin. The first single "Avalon" will be available in February, check astralworks' link for more information about the artist and the remixes at http://www.astralwerks.com/juliet/default.html

Also mentioned in the post before is the new single that is coming out on Toolroom Records in March called Powerstation. The record which is a LES record presents 45 Hz which is a collaboration project with Dom Capello, who also worked on the Tijuana "Groove Is In The Air" remix project for Bedrock's 50th release package. The next 45 hz single One Thing, another male vocal track, also features a Shafunkers remix which is amazing and is currently being signed at the moment.

There will be a new promo mix available within the next 10 days, and i'll post the link.

Been a while since I've had a chance to update the site and the news here and let everyone know what we have been up to, so here we go. I'm happy to say that we've just signed our track Powerstation to Toolroom records in the UK, it's a record that received a huge amount of support from John Digweed (thanks!) and now Hernan Cattaneo. It is due to be released around March of 2005. We are also in process of finishing 4 other original records, which is a big step for us as we have spent the majority of the last few years remixing other artists. Unfortunately, it is with regret that our 2 remixes of Sander Kleinenberg's "Work To Do" will not be released, however because of the overwhelming positive response from artists & fans alike we will be reworking these records with new vocals and will keep you updated as to when they might be finished. Due to the success of our remix of Janet Jackson we have been working on 2 more remix projects for Virgin for a new artist named Juliet who they have signed. The first remix we have just completed in the last few days, and plan to begin working on the second single in the next few days. We are also finishing our remix of Dirty Vegas' second single from their new album One called Human Love. The Dirty Vegas project is very exciting as well and will be finished within the next couple of weeks, and then hopefully we will have some clips up on this site.

Also, a lot of people were asking for our remix of Echomen's "Perpetual" which was never released by SAW Records, but which received huge support from John Digweed in both DJ Sets & on his KissFM radio show. We'll be making this available to download from our site in the next few days, so hold tight and check the news section for the link to download it.

Thanks to everyone in Madeira for a great night, thanks to Jose, Ricardo & Michael C for taking great care of us, movies will be up later.

thats all for now, mac

A long weekend has passed and another chapter in new york club night life, both of us were saddened to see the closing of 2 venues here in the city which meant so much to us. The years that we musically grew up at Vinyl with Danny Tenaglia, and the time we spent there DJing with him and others. It was a magical place, and there are many memories that will live on in our hearts and minds forever.

Centro-Fly which also closed this past weekend, was special to us in another way, our first weekly new york residency. It became like a second home and a second family, so many laughs and so many great nights behind the decks, and everyone that made those nights special for us, and all the other DJ's who came to play for us there. It was an amazing run and helped us achieve new heights in our career. Thanks to everyone there, Tom, Dave, Duke, Harold & the rest of the crew...
